Factors Affecting Self-Care Behavior Patients with Essential Hypertention

The purpose of this study is to empirically test a model of self-care behavior. The model in the present study contains five determinants as follows: i) self-efficacy, ii) knowledge of hypertention. Iii) health perception. iv) health locus of
control,
and v) family support. Data was collected from 280 outpatients with essential hypertension from three hospitals located in Pusan. Korea, using a self administered questionnaire.
